Absolutely no skills or experience necessary – that’s the way we’ve designed it! And by the end you’ll definitely have some skills.

Will I really be able to build an Adirondack Chair?

Yes you CAN!! Our Adirondack chair workshop is designed for everyone – skilled or not.

How do you say Adirondack?

It is pronounced Add – Ee – Ron – Dack. And don’t worry you don’t need to be able to say it to build your own Adirondack Chair!

Can I make my own project?

After doing a couple of our set projects that teach you the basics in our weekly classes, you certainly can make your own project. We will work with you to design your project to be awesome but still fit within your skill set and teach you new things too.

What is the youngest age of a child who can attend your kids workshops?

Our kids classes are open to girls and boys ages 7 and up.

When can I start my 6 weekly classes Block?

You may begin at any time and attend for 6 weeks after that. You will work through your project with our teachers individually teaching the new skills as you get to them and guiding you through as you go along. And if you can’t attend all 6 in a row let us know and we will work this out with you.

Kids at Two Sheds

We have after school and home school weekly classes and holiday workshops for girls and boys ages 7 through to teenagers. Our amazing teachers don’t just teach them woodwork skills but help kids bring their imaginations alive building things with wood. Puppets, boats, birdhouses, Nordic swords, shields, clocks, and even furniture as their skills develop over time.

Women at Two Sheds

All the projects for our workshops and classes are designed for those with or without experience in woodwork or building. They are designed for you to learn skills as you build your project and to turn out fabulously so you take home something you will be totally proud of. We teach in ways that encourage you, develop your confidence to have a go yourself, demystify all things woodwork and generally make you feel more empowered in the ways of working wood and building things.

WOODWORK SKILLS

We offer project-based evening, 1 day and 2 day workshops where you will learn woodworking skills and how to use tools.

In our daytime and evening weekly classes you begin with our projects to give you a chance to learn basic woodworking skills. If you choose you can go on to build your own projects under the guidance of our skilled teachers.

CONSTRUCTION SKILLS

Our workshops such as tiny house and pod timber framing, deck, chook house building are designed for complete beginners to those with more building experience. These workshops are totally hands-on. You will learn all the skills of using onsite tools and equipment, all the tricks of the trade brought to you by our carpenter tradeswomen, construction knowledge in a way that totally makes sense, and be part of building an awesome structure.
